What is your body saying when it talks to you?

What I call 'wellness whispering' is the art of allowing for the 'Still Small Voice Within' to be heard and to converse with the innate knowledge of the body.  This unlocks our ability to live in partnership, balance and harmony as body, mind and essence.  We all were born into that relationship with ourselves.  It is our birthright and privilege to thrive!  With a little direction, to start the conversation, you'll be remembering how to be At One in no time!

Along my journey, I've found we all have ups and downs.  The secret is to learn to decipher what your body needs you to understand and to give the body vital resources.  Our bodies' natural state is actually one of balance and health.  By supplying the right nutrition, whole foods, rest, play, wellness support and a supportive internal environment (mind and spirit), the body will stay in health.

Our thoughts and feelings create chemistry in our bodies, which causes a cascade of hormones and signals that determine how our bodies function.  When we surround ourselves with stressful situations or relationships, long commutes, negative thinking, fear-based main stream media and sabotaging behaviors, the body fills will toxins and stress hormones.  Stress hormones disrupt all our internal systems from running correctly, from digestion to metabolism and everything in between.   When we don't know how to or just don't listen to our body's language or warning signs, it continues to amplify the message until we take notice.  Sometimes it seems the body tries the same tactics as a young child, kicking and screaming for help.  The truth is that we don't have to get to the point of major pain and life-threatening dysfunction, as I did in my early adult life.  In today's society, we are often no longer in touch with that language and, unwittingly, our health and quality of life suffer.

The good news is that you can build a new relationship with your body to enjoy health and balance.  It takes time, patience, compassion and support.  Having worked on hundreds of people between massage, medical intuition and energy work, there are patterns that appear.  We all experience many similar core issues and it's good to know there are others who understand.  My body has been an exceptional teacher, though I would have told you otherwise earlier in life.  I have learned about how to work with the body to modulate pain and functionality with a plethora of tools in my toolbox now.  In my journey, I've had the pleasure of developing relationships with many in the 'healing' community.  That allows me to help people directly and connect them with other beneficial modalities or resources, if wanted and appropriate.
